Generation Dream May "Retreat to Happy Hour" Release
GENERATION DREAM HOSTS “RETREAT TO HAPPY HOUR”
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. -- Generation Dream, Deliver the Dream’s New Young Professional Organization is hosting an event, “Retreat to Happy Hour” at Chima Steak House, Las Olas, Thursday, May 19, from 7:00p.m. -9:00p.m.
Guest speaker, James Edward McKnight is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League. He played for the Seattle Seahawks (1994-1998), the Dallas Cowboys (2000), Miami Dolphins (2001-2003), and the New York Giants (2004). McKnight is very involved in community service as President and Chairmen of Education Empowerment Foundation.
A $20 admission fee will include 2 drinks, appetizers and door prizes. Chima Steakhouse is located at 2400 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This event is open to all young professionals in Ft. Lauderdale and surrounding areas.
Generation Dream aspires to fundraise $50,000 this year to sponsor a retreat for children with Cancer. Generation Dream is a unique new young professionals group connecting for a cause. They will host networking and fundraising events to donate proceeds to a Deliver the Dream retreat for children with cancer.
Deliver the Dream is a not-for-profit retreat program that helps families who have a child or a parent living with illnesses such as Cancer, Autism, HIV/AIDS, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis and Sickle Cell. It has served more than 4,500 family members throughout the Southeast since 2002. A Deliver the Dream retreat helps families enhance coping skills, reduce stress, and cultivate lasting relationships with other families enduring the same illness by combining traditional recreational activities, therapeutic workshops, and peer-to-peer discussion groups. The retreats are provided at no cost to participants.
